Established in the 1994-95 school year, Fisher Park Public School with its Summit Alternative program is a grade 7 and 8 site within the Ottawa Carleton District School Board. There are approximately 570 students in 5 programs: English, Early French Immersion, Middle French Immersion, French Gifted and Alternative.

Our Students

Our student population reflects the diversity and richness of Canadian culture. Our students come from 38 countries, their parents from 74. An impressive 64% of our students speak another language fluently. The Summit Alternative Program is the only intermediate alternative setting in the OCDSB. Our school offers students the opportunity to develop their talents in the areas of academics, the arts, athletics and leadership across a number of programs.

Grade 8 transition to High School


Nepean HS will be hosting an information session in support of the on-line gr. 9 option sheet process on Wednesday, February 10th from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

February 23rd, 2016 - Give a little...help a lot – Students helping students


When kids come to our schools with hungry tummies, we help feed them. When they can’t afford winter boots or a coat, we find them warmth for the winter. When kids don’t have a backpack full of supplies for school, we provide them.

New! After-School Girls' Sports Club


Fridays, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m., beginning January 15th, 2016

Play and build your skills in a variety of sports including volleyball, basketball and badminton.

This program is non-competitive and especially aimed at those girls not already on sports teams.

Join parent volunteer, Geordie McConnell, in the large gym at Fisher/Summit PS

These red shirts, featuring a medicine wheel, are 100 % cotton and $20 each. Order forms are available in the office and on our website FORMS page. Orders will be accepted in the office on an ongoing basis. T-shirts will be received this month.
